Just a reminder & re-posting of the diary from Tuesday - please share it with anyone who might be in or migrating to/through the area. It'll be great to see folks.

Calling all Boston and New England Kossacks! It's been TOO LONG since we last connected - and, for BosKos folks at least, FAR too long since we've had a showing with more than 2-3 people.
Let's change that.
The whole purpose of these groups is to "create face-to-face networks in each congressional district. Groups regularly socialize but also get out the vote, support candidates and engage in other local political actions that help our progressive movement grow and exert influence on the powers-that-be."1
To put it even more succinctly, "Get to know your fellow activists to facilitate future action events in your state." Plus, it's great to get to know some of your fellow Kossacks and build an interactive social network that helps continue some of our online connections in an offline mode, face-to-face.
And, of course, it's FUN! ...of course, it's even MORE fun when more folks participate.
We have a small collection of Boston Kossacks who are almost split down the middle when it comes to meeting on a Saturday or a Sunday - Saturdays are out for some, Sundays are out for others. So, because I'd REALLY like to give everyone an opportunity to connect, this meetup will happen TWICE - once on Saturday, and once on Sunday. The date and time is 7/25 and 7/26, starting at 2 pm each day.
It will be at the Appleby's in Quincy: it's a venue across the street from a T station and near the expressway.

In addition to food and fun, we can plan for the next meetup to be elsewhere in or around Boston - perhaps something akin to our storm-tossed meetup at The Barking Crab or the enjoyable, cozy connection at the Café Barada in Cambridge, or the delicious Border Cafe (also in Cambridge)...we're not limited to venue, but we need you to let us know what works, and what doesn't.
Folks who need transportation can contact me through kosmail (leave a short note in comments to ensure that I know it's coming).
