Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though. |
Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
Something I came across at Icy Veins was a post about an upcoming Patch 6.2 feature I hadn't heard about - bonus events.
Bonus events look like they're an expansion of the PvP weekends except that they take place during the week and (this would be the part that got my attention) give bonuses to PvE activities as well.
The bonuses are listed at the Icy Veins post linked above. I sure wouldn't mind upgraded PvE gear drops, more loot reroll tokens, and triple pet experience for pet battling.
With that, here's the Team PM report from Pamena:
Team PM Report:
Team PM has been hit by the "taking a game break" bug that has taken a few of our top DPS out of raiding at least for a while. We tried Kromog last Tuesday with just 12 people, and while we came close on one pull, it's clear to us now that these raids are just much more feasible for average players, which most of us are, with at least 15 players on the team who can all do good damage or heals. So, I went looking for a couple more folks, and we're so pleased that Tvath and Earthdream have joined us as healers. Pamena will sit while I bring in Papagenia, my hunter, for DPS, and Swyft will concentrate on DPS now as well. This past Tuesday, we did a fresh start on Blackrock with 16-17 folks, and one- shot the first 3 ( on normal, we're still trying out this new configuration). We had a hiccup or two on Flamebender, but we got Sardric in, and got her down. So, I have put away my dream of recreating the smaller, more intimate raiding experience this team had for 3 expansions as a 10 man, and we are ratcheting up to 15-18 folks we hope on a regular basis. This gives us more wiggle room when various people have to be out, and I think will just allow us to handle the mechanics on most of these fights much more easily. Most importantly, we had a great time Tuesday, lots of laughs and fun, so we'll do our best to keep that going as well!

I'll go on to the Team Z report, since I managed to make it again:
Team Z paid another visit to Blackrock Foundry, and I was honored to be able to accompany them. We took out the early bosses to help gear up, had some trouble repeating last week's Flamebender kill but perservered to a win, and got a good pull or two on Mister Grabby Hands.
I forgot to upload combat logs so I may not remember exactly how many pulls of which bosses we did am pretty sure we one-shot everything.

That's all I have for this week.
For the Horde!
