{just for tonight...}
Most eerily, at least for me, Sept. 11, 2001 was a Tuesday, and (check local listings), the weather was identical to what it was that was that horrible day - sunshine, blue skies, slightly cool in the morning, etc. Feel free to share any thoughts or remembrances in the comments if you'd like.
Meanwhile, to get my vengeful streak on a bit (which is why what I do is called Buddhist practice)...
{tapping into microphone} Testing...testing...1 - 2 - 3... {clear throat}
I got nothin' as far as a witty introduction - or even a non witty introduction, so let's dive on in; the water's fine!
And, Queen is officially the soundtrack of my life; I'll take that. :D Seriously though, I had to leave campus for just a bit for the sake of my mental health (such as it is) & to avoid going all SuperSoaker on the joint.
Tonight's diary features a rare poll - admittedly on the silly side but a poll nevertheless! :D Those of you who've been around here long enough know just how "fun" this time of year is for me in my line of work; only the end of the year is worse. So, I'm going to let y'all determine the soundtrack for my life for the next couple of weeks.
So, here are the choices.

Hey F.O.O. & FOKRs, by the time y'all read this, my dain bramaged state could be beyond my typical non - sensesical ravings of a lunatic mind so apologies in advance.
Thanks awfully for the opportunity to be the hostess with the mostess for this diary series for this week. :D I grew up in a very very very isolated rural area, and reading helped me to escape to someplace - anyplace - other than where I was; hell, reading STILL does that for me. Here's a clue into my reading regime these days, and, if y'all know me very well at all, you probably already know. :)
I'm still patiently waiting for a photo of Rep. Medicare Murderer going down on a corn dog. ;D Yea, I'm bad, but I admit I'm bad!
I've got the OFFICIAL theme song for the Mittwit/Medicare Murderer campaign because I am just that good. :D To be sung to the Beverly Hillbillies theme song (and with all apologies to them)...
Tonight will be the last diary for this week barring a news development of gargantuan proportions - like DICK surrendering himself to the DOJ for his shenanigans during GWB's reign, $aint $arah from Wasilla declaring she likes girls & getting married to her long - time female companion in MA, stuff like that. ;D
Blah...blah...and blah... Although, these days, I'm managing to catch up with new "Beat" literature & jewels recently published, so that's helping to keep sanity (such as it is) in tact.
A couple of semi - reliable show feeds via the intertubz? Check. A functioning new purty keyboard for my iPad? Check. So, we are back! :D If any of the aforementioned tech goodies go on the fritz anymore, I'm just gonna find a cave & go all neanderthal and never come out again.
